It depends on the model. For those that do, many of them will come already installed on the end of the eyepiece and simply need to be unrolled.

The calibration kit is a micrometre slide that is used to calibrate the microscope USB cameras to take measurements in real distance via the camera and software. If you plan on making measurements with your unit, you would certainly want to get this kit. Please note that the microscope packages including cameras do not include this kit. It is available separately as model number MR400.
