What is the payment method?
Boundary accepts VISA, Mastercard, and American Express.
Can I change my plan once the system is installed?
Yes, of course, You are free to upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time but please do be aware that you may lose some features. For example, the Lite plan will only support a maximum of two sensors so if you were to move to the Lite plan from a paid subscription you would need to select which sensors you wanted to keep active.
What if my phone runs out of battery?
If your mobile runs out of battery or you are unable to use the application for any reason it is still possible to arm or disarm the Hub using a numeric PIN code or the contactless Key Fobs.
The functionality of the alarm system itself will be unaffected if your phone is unavailable.
How long is the backup battery life?
The internal LiPO battery backup within the Hub will provide 12+ hours of continuous power to the alarm system should the mains power fail. This is a British & European standard mandated for battery backup life.
Once power is restored to the Hub, the backup battery will automatically recharge until it is at full capacity once more.
Is the Outdoor Siren tamper-proof?
As the Outdoor Siren is designed to be mounted outside your property it is obviously important that it cannot be tampered with. Ideally, the siren should be mounted well out of arms reach but still accessible as the batteries will need to be replaced on a two-year rolling basis.
Should the Outdoor Siren be tampered with by attempted removal then the siren will continue to sound until it is physically disabled. In addition, an alert will be sent to the Hub that the siren is being tampered with and this will trigger an alert in both the mobile app and the alarm system in just the same way as any other sensor.
