What is the Uniplaces Guarantee ?
The Uniplaces Guarantee was created to protect their landlords from tenants who need to leave before the agreed move-out date, for personal reasons, despite being satisfied with the accommodation they have booked. In this case, they either find a new tenant for your place, or they cover the total amount of the rent until the end of the first tenant’s contract, until a maximum stay of 1 year.
What is the admin fee?
The admin fee is a fee that landlords sometimes have to add to cover for their administrative costs.
Can I contact the landlord before sending the booking request?
Uniplaces can only share your landlord’s contact details after your booking is confirmed. Rest assured that Uniplaces carefully selects the landlords they work with, so you can trust the ones who choose to list their places with them. As soon as your booking is confirmed, your landlord’s contact details will be on your booking confirmation email. After that, they encourage you to contact them directly to ask questions and arrange your move-in.
My booking request expired. Should I send a new request?
There are several reasons why this can happen. It can be a simple matter of the landlord being unavailable and not reply within 48 hours, or it can also be because the place is not available after all and the landlord forgot to update its availability. This is the reason why Uniplaces recommend sending more than one booking request to similar places. Keep in mind that if you send more than one booking request, the first one to get accepted is your confirmed booking and the one you will automatically be charged with. All the other pending booking requests will be instantly declined and you will not be charged for them.
