• Information at the time of booking - Please inform DFDS Seaways about any disability or special needs at the time of booking. This includes any seating arrangements, accommodation, medical equipment, etc.
• Assistance in ports and onboard ships - DFDS Seaways will provide assistance in ports, including embarkation and disembarkation, within their respective areas.
• Exceptions and special conditions - Although DFDS Seaways will make all reasonable efforts to assist disabled persons, there may be instances where they will have to refuse the right to reservation. This includes instances where the design of the ship or infrastructure makes embarking/disembarking impossible or compromises the safety of the said individual. DFDS Seaways will try to propose alternative transport and services in these cases.
• Requirement to be accompanied - DFDS Seaways may request the disabled person to be assisted by another person. This relevant person will accompany them free of charge as regards passenger services.

Travelling with a pet is permitted on certain DFDS Seaways routes. This however needs to be stipulated when making a booking and in advance. With the exception of guide dogs, pets are not allowed in the passenger area of ships. Unless approved by DFDS Seaways, customers travelling in coach or accompanying a commercial vehicle will not be allowed to travel with their pets. In some cases, having your pet with you will incur charges.

Upon approval of having your pet on board, a Pet Passport will be issued which will be required when reaching your destination. If this is not provided or the required document is not given, you will not be permitted to travel with your pet on board.

To make your travels easier, DFDS Seaways offers bus transfers from ferry ports to city centres. To include this in your booking, simply click on add bus transfers when selecting your package deal. Some transfer spots include:
