Here are some great tips & tricks for extra savings at Genes Reunited:
You can print certain segments of your Genes Reunited family tree but, unfortunately, it's not possible to print a copy of your full tree.
They know that this is a big want from their members and their technical experts have spent vast amounts of time trying to develop a solution but there's just too much detail to print out a good quality full family tree on a standard printer.
This issue has beaten their competitors too but rests assured that they will keep looking at this and will be sure to add this feature if any software becomes available in the future.
They offer 2 types of subscriptions – Standard and Platinum. A description of each one is shown below.
You’ll be able to see how much each one costs when you click on the Subscription page. They show the price in different currencies depending on where you live. If you are currently subscribed, you'll only see the options available to you. The link to subscribe can be found in the top right-hand corner of the page.
If you’ve chosen the continuous renewal for your subscription and you would like to change this preference, you can do that instantly by clicking here to go to the ‘Subscription Details’ link.
Please select the 'Auto Renew Off' option and remember to save the changes. This will ensure that no further payments are taken from your card unless you choose to initiate them.
When a contact has given you permission to view their tree, you can view it by clicking on 'Messages' at the top of each page and then on 'My Contacts' from the dropdown list.
If you can see a tick and the word 'View' next to a contact's name then you'll be able to see their tree. If you see a cross and the word 'request' then you haven't been given access to it yet.
If a member has said you can see their tree but you still can't see it, this is usually just because they’ve forgotten to approve your request. Just click on 'Request' to send an email to the other member asking to see it.
Click on 'View' on the My Contacts page to see the other tree.
You can also view another member's tree from your own Family Tree page.
You can remove your entire family tree by clicking here. This will not delete your registration.
Your tree isn't removed immediately. Your request is placed in a queue and actioned shortly afterward. When you delete your tree, all the names apart from your own (or the name you've entered as the opening point of your tree) will be permanently removed and cannot be reinstated.
