They will observe advice provided by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
• In some cases, the deposit may be a higher amount to secure your arrangements, this will be non-refundable and the charges will be added to the cancellation charges above. In cases where cancellation charges made by their suppliers are higher than the cost of the deposit, Virgin Holidays may pass the charge on to you. They will not pay you compensation if they cancel because there has been any fraud or illegal activity involved in the payment of your booking on your credit or debit card.
• Virgin Holidays will not pay you compensation where they make a significant change or cancel more than 12 weeks before departure or in the event of unavoidable or extraordinary circumstances.
• Very rarely, Virgin Holidays may be forced by unavoidable or extraordinary circumstances to change or terminate your arrangements after departure. If this situation does occur, they regret that they will be unable to make any refunds (unless Virgin Holidays obtains any from their suppliers), pay you compensation or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result.
• The compensation that they offer does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so.
• Brexit Implications: Certain Travel Arrangements may be affected as a result of the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union, the implications of which are unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances that are entirely beyond their control. Virgin Holidays will continue to monitor the situation and will advise their customers as soon as possible if they become aware of any confirmed bookings that will be affected.
