What are the delivery times?
If you choose an option like “Express (2 Business Days)”, please remember that isn’t a guarantee that the order will be there exactly two days from the moment you order it, they still need time to pack & ship your order (see above).
Can I add a gift note, wrapping, or gift receipt to my order?
Trek Light Gear isn’t able to include special gift notes or gift wrapping with orders currently. They are working to be able to include gift notes in the future and they will update this page when they do. Trek Light Gear never include any prices in our shipments so the recipient won’t see the cost of their gift. If you’re sending a gift, please make sure to let the recipient know when to expect an order from them so they know who sent the gift!
Can I cancel or change my order once it’s placed?
In most cases, unfortunately not but please contact them as soon as possible after you place your order, and Trek Light Gear will help you if they possibly can.
Trek Light Gear outgrew their little warehouse in Colorado for shipping their daily orders, and they now use a fulfilment partner based in Texas to ship out their orders as quickly as possible to you. The good news is that your orders get to you faster and cheaper, but unfortunately, it also means it’s often not possible for them to cancel or change orders once they’re placed. Once the order has been pulled into the shipping system (usually within 10-15 minutes after it’s placed) it’s no longer possible for them to cancel it or make any changes to it even if you haven’t yet received a shipment notification or tracking number. But, “they emailed you 1 minute after I placed my order, how can that be too late?!” Please keep in mind that they are a small business (and human) and that means they don’t always see your e-mails or messages the moment you send them. That’s why in most cases there’s not much they can do to make changes once you place your order but, if you do email them ([email protected]) about an order change please put “URGENT Order Change/Cancel” in the subject line, so Trek Light Gear know that it’s time-sensitive and may have a shot at helping you out.
I returned my order, when will I get a refund/exchange?
Returns are sent to their fulfilment centre and need to be inspected for damage, missing items, etc. which can take some time. Trek Light Gear ask that you allow 2-3 weeks after they receive your returned item for a refund to be processed. You’ll receive an email confirmation as soon as your return has been processed (don’t forget to check your spam folder). If you are exchanging an item, they will still need the time to inspect and verify the receipt of your returned item before Trek Light Gear can send you a replacement item. To save time, you’re always welcome to place a new order with them so you don’t have to wait for your return to process before getting the item you want.
