How does Trustedhousesitters work?
Trustedhousesitters is a match-making platform that connects pet owners with care-orientated sitters, all around the world. Our global network of pet lovers exchanges accommodation for pet care, allowing pet lovers to travel. The first step is to purchase your chosen plan. Owners can then create a listing and start receiving applications from verified and reviewed sitters, while sitters can create a profile and start applying for sits. Or if you decided to become a combined member then you can do it all.
Do sitters charge?
No - never. There isn’t one! Sitters registered with Trustedhousesitters sit for free because they love animals and the unique travel experiences that house and pet sitting offers. In exchange for lovingly and respectfully caring for your pets and home, your sitter gets to experience life in your location. Because they aren’t motivated by money, you can find a sitter whose number one priority is to care for your home and pets.
How are sitters verified?
As part of their industry-leading trust and safety features, house & pet sitters registered with TrustedHousesitters have the option to complete two levels of ID checks and verification. A sitter’s verification level can be easily identified by the Trust Badge on their profile. The Basic level is an email and phone number verification, plus at least one external reference. The Standard level is an ID and document check completed by a third-party verification provider. And for extra peace of mind, we encourage sitters to request third party references and member reviews on their profiles.
