Buying from the sale. The selected items in the sale are discounted up to 50% off, which can beat the codes on those specific products. Check the sale prices first. On a heavily reduced item marked at £20 from an original £40, the sale already saves you £20. Adding the 10% code would then take 10% off the £20 sale price, saving an extra £2 for a final total of £18 and total saving of £22. If that same £20 sale item is part of a wider basket, compare the total you would pay under the 10% code (10% off everything) against the total with just the sale discount on those items and full price for the rest; whichever leaves you paying less is your best option. The codes and sale can both apply, but work out which combination gives you the lower final total.
