It is L'Occitane's intention to satisfy their customers. For this reason, in addition to your rights above they will gladly issue an exchange or a full refund to the original debit card, credit card or PayPal for any unopened merchandise bought on www.loccitane.co.uk or in one of their UK boutiques (excluding Trentham Gardens, Bicester, Portsmouth, Cheshire Oaks, department stores and airport stores) that is returned within 28 days of the date of purchase. Purchases made in their Outlet boutiques; Bicester, Portsmouth and Cheshire Oaks will be subject to exchange only and can be returned only to an Outlet store.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Unfortunately, once orders are placed, they are not able to be edited, added to or cancelled. If an order is not correct (including incorrect customer details or address information), it will need to be shipped and then refused delivery by the customer for it to be returned to us and refunded. You can place a new order with the relevant amendments.
Do you use micro-beads in your products?
At L'Occitane, they try to limit their impact on the environment wherever possible and endeavour to develop its products in synchronicity with nature. They give priority to natural ingredients wherever possible and use natural materials such as crushed almond shells (as found in their Almond Delicious Paste Scrub) or apricot kernel powder (as found in their Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Scrub) as alternatives. Currently, micro-beads are widely used across the Beauty Industry in exfoliation products. As these micro-beads are non-bio-degradable they can be harmful to the eco-system when they enter the marine environment. L'Occitane does not use micro-beads in any of its products, and can confirm that all its products have been micro-bead free since 2016.
Are your products safe to use while pregnant?
At L'Occitane, they use many natural ingredients and essential oils. Essential oils are true plant concentrates and are active ingredients with strong skin penetration power. As a precaution, they would therefore discourage the use of essential oils by women who are either pregnant or breastfeeding. L'Occitane currently has one product without any essential oils and this is their Shea Butter Organic Certified. This 100% Shea Butter is a nourishing protecting beauty balm that can be used all over the body. If you have any other concerns about the use of essential oils whilst pregnant they suggest you contact your doctor.
Do you use parabens?
L'Occitane strives to use high-quality, traceable, natural ingredients. They use over 200 botanical ingredients, a quarter of them organic certified, which are carefully selected for their effectiveness and their ability to give your skin the elements it needs to be beautiful. These ingredients are used at an ideal concentration in our formulas. They therefore systematically give priority to natural ingredients whenever possible. For example, they use vegetable oils in place of oils derived from petrochemicals, as they have a better affinity with the skin. However, to ensure that their products offer optimum safety and effectiveness, they may use synthetic molecules when no reliable and effective natural alternative exists, while always erring on the side of caution. As a brand that values pure and natural ingredients, L'Occitane has undertaken to remove all Parabens from its products and from January 2014 we were 100% Paraben-free. They are constantly researching new and innovative methods to reduce or remove all together preservative ingredients from our formulations to protect both our customers and the environment.
Do you sell gift cards online?
The gift cards they sell online are physical gift cards and not E Gift cards, so the gift card will need to be created and posted to you from their Head Office. As L'Occitane is located in Sydney, all their team members are working remotely and not in the office so they cannot guarantee express delivery of gift cards currently. Please be aware your gift card will arrive separately from your order as this is being sent from their Head Office. L'Occitane will provide a separate tracking number for this when it has been shipped.
