What if an event is cancelled or postponed?
WeGotTickets knows how frustrating it is when an event you're looking forward to is cancelled or postponed better than most, so they'll let you know as soon as a cancellation or postponement is confirmed to us by the venue or event organiser. This notification will be sent to the same email address that you used for the original ticket purchase.
Sometimes it's not possible to reach everyone when an event is cancelled at the last minute, but they'll do their best to inform you and to make sure the venue or event organiser takes every possible step to let you know before you head out.
How does it work?
Their tickets are different.
Instead of sending them to you in the post, they give you a unique booking reference which is displayed on your screen once you've bought your tickets. WeGotTickets also email you confirmation of your booking reference shortly after your order has gone through, however, the booking reference itself, along with some ID, is all you'll need to gain entry to the event (for more on ID see 'What ID do I need to bring with me?').
Can I have a refund?
Unless you purchased TicketPlan® Refund Protection with your order, your tickets are only eligible for a refund if the following circumstances apply:
(a) an Event is cancelled;
(b) an Event is moved to another date and you decide not to retain your Booking for the rescheduled Event; or
(c) details of an Event are significantly changed after an order is placed (significant changes being a change of headline act or venue)
WeGotTickets cannot refund your ticket outside of these circumstances. However, if you are unable to attend the event you can reallocate the tickets into the name of somebody who would like to attend in your place by logging in to your account, clicking on 'my tickets' finding your order in the list and then clicking on 'Change named ticket holder' - hopefully this way a friend or family member can enjoy the event in your place (and let you know exactly what you missed).
