PitPat FAQs
What is the payment method?
PitPat accepts VISA, Mastercard and PayPal.
What is the purpose of a PitPat?
Your dog will now do the same with PitPat. PitPat makes it easy to keep track of your dog's activity, control their weight, and, since it's all about your dog, have a lot of fun while doing so.
Will PitPat fit my dog?
Yes. Most people are very surprised by how small and light PitPat is compared to how it looks in photos. Unless your dog is a very miniature breed, your dog won’t even notice that PitPat is on their collar. They don’t recommend PitPat for puppies under 12 weeks old though.
Does PitPat tell me about the quality of my dog’s sleep?
Yes, although it doesn’t directly detect sleeping, PitPat knows when your dog is not moving (which they call resting). If your dog is disturbed, wakes up or moves about in the night, PitPat will spot it, and you’ll see it very clearly in the graph of your dog’s daily activity. Lots of their customers have discovered interesting things about their dog’s nocturnal activities.
My dog is always with me. Why do I need a PitPat?
Even if your dog is always with you, or you already have a good sense of how much exercise they’re getting, you’ll be amazed at how interesting and revealing what PitPat tells you are. Their customers often tell them how surprised they are by what they see, and how delighted they are that PitPat shows and proves how well they care for their dog.
Is it possible to get a discount on my insurance via PitPat?
Keep an eye on the situation! Insurers can see that dogs with PitPat's are likely to be healthier and happier, as even having a PitPat demonstrates that the owner is extra-caring. Many insurers are working with them to help them sell PitPat to their policyholders and to inspire them to reward good dog owners.
Is there a cat-friendly version?
Right now, no, but there's nothing stopping you from using PitPat on your cat (just make sure you choose a small dog breed in the app!).
What if I have many dogs?
In the PitPat app, you can conveniently build different profiles for each of your dogs. You may then tie a PitPat to one or more of your dogs to handle their individual exercise.
Is PitPat suitable for senior dogs?
That's for sure! Your senior dog always needs gentle exercise on a daily basis. The PitPat app recognises this and tailors its recommendations to your dog's specific needs, regardless of age.
Is PitPat water-resistant?
Absolutely! PitPat is scored IP67, so you don't have to take it off when your dog goes swimming – even if it's for hydrotherapy or diving into the water.
